I never thought of myself as good looking, but a young friend of mine was looking at my old photos and told me I need to re-assess, despite what middle age has done to me. I'm a big, heavy boned guy who runs to more fat than I like, but wear it moderately well. Apparently I smile and frown a lot, but both can break into a silly kids' grin with the slightest provocation. I wear eyeglasses and have had a short, trimmed beard since I was fifteen, which made me look older once upon a time, and now, getting quite white, seems to make me look younger or older, depending on who is looking. I'm no fashion plate, with little visual sense of aesthetics, despite a lifelong interest in visual arts and media. You'll see me dressed most of the time in 'professional lax' attire, though I go quite woodsman-like on occasion, and as I work at home, it's often shorts and a t-shirt, or whatever I need to play rough with my husky :)

I can dress up, but don't often see a reason to do so. However, I'm tractable -- the right women can talk me into an attempt to match her, well, at least a little.
